It’s so hard to trust in God sometimes. It’s even harder to give authority of my life over to him. But he knows me and has named me his son. He has given us a name like parents would give their child a name because that baby is theirs. And so, we are his. Wholely, Unabashedly and completely his. In our time of greatest weakness, in our time of greatest need, he came to us to groan on a cross on our behalf.
How long, O Lord? Will you forget me forever?
How long will you hide your face from me?
But I have trusted in your steadfast love;
my heart shall rejoice in your salvation.
I will sing to the Lord,
because he has dealt bountifully with me.
Psalm 13:1; 5-6
“But please, please-won’t you-can’t you give me something that will cure my Mother?”
Up till then he had been looking at the Lion’s great feet and the huge claws on them; now, in his despair, he looked up at its face. What he saw surprised him as much as anything in his whole life. For the tawny face was bent down near his own and (wonder of wonders) great shining tears stood in the Lion’s eyes. They were such big, bright tears compared with Digory’s own that for a moment he felt as if the Lion must really be sorrier about his Mother than he was himself.
26 Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, butthe Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words. 27 And he who searches hearts knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because[a] the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God. 28 And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good,[b] for those who are called according to his purpose.
Romans 8:26-28
